Assignment of additional measures for the Ergoldsbacher Reformpfanne XXL®

According to the Central Association of German Roofers’ pamphlet on sub-roofs, sub-coverings and under-bracings, and the basicregulations of the Roofers’ Guild, regular roof pitch 22°, minimum roof pitch 10°, according to the generally accepted rules of technology.
Country-specific building standards and/or regulations must be adhered to, if no other contractual agreements have been made.

Increased demands due to:
- long spar lengths (longer than 10 metres)
- concentrated water channel on parts of the roof surface, e.g. under drainpipes, where valleys form junctions and the like
- special roofs like cambered dormer windows or arched and conical roofs
- snowy regions ≥ 1,5 kN/m2 of ground snow load - windy regions in wind load zone 4 or in ridge or hill-top positions or where gullies form

Classification
Class 1: waterproof sub-roof consisting of waterproofing membranes or stitched underlay made of diffusion-open UDB-eA (for extended applications; with integrated counter battens in each case)
Class 2: rainproof sub-roof consisting of waterproofing membranes or stitched underlay made of UDB-eA (for extended applications; with exposed counter battens on nail-sealing tape / compound in each case)
Class 3: glued sub-covering/under-bracing with nail-sealing tape / compound - with ETB/ETA verified nail seals or wooden roof sheathing

* Measures required to preserve horizontal battens, e.g. horizontal battens made of moisture-resistant materials, water-repellent covering on horizontal battens and the like. ** Subordinate structures like carports, storage sheds and patio roofs etc. do not need as much protection. As with cold roof structures containing an unfinished attic, the integration of the counterbattens can be dispensed with here if necessary, and the extra measure for raintightness can be carried out as Class 2. This is to be agreed by separate contract. We recommend concluding separate contracts for designs that are state of the art or state-of-the-art of science and technology.

* The additional measures listed in the table are minimum measures under consideration of Table 1 in the pamphlet on sub-roofs, sub-coverings and under-bracings. Sub-covering panels are to be assigned according to the classification in the pamphlet on sub-roofs, sub-coverings and under-bracings. Increased demands make up categories according to chapter 1.1.3. Further increased demands can arise out of the weighting within a category according to 1.1.3. For example, climate situations can result in several increased demands. Only permitted if the manufacturer provides proof of the functionality and safety of the products used, including accessories (sealing tapes, sticky tapes, sealing compounds, pre-assembled seam securing, etc.), as part of a deluge test and 24-hour rain test on a roof pitch of 15°. Otherwise, the next class up is to be selected. Any limitations noted by the manufacturer are to be taken into account. See the product data information sheet for instructions regarding protection against perforation. These can be used for classes 3 to 6.

The flat shape of the Ergoldsbacher Reformpfanne XXL® also goes perfectly with tented and hip roofs. Furthermore, this roof tile – with a common format of 10 pcs/qm – from our Ergoldsbacher XXL family is a fine alternative to a flat tile.
