Assignment of additional measures for the Ergoldsbacher Großfalzziegel

According to the Central Association of German Roofers’ pamphlet on sub-roofs, sub-coverings and under-bracings, and the basic regulations of the Roofers’ Guild, regular roof pitch 25° - when laid in cross pattern, when laid in rows - regular roof pitch 30°, minimum roof pitch 10°, according to the generally accepted rules of technology.
Country-specific building standards and/or regulations must be adhered to, if no other contractual agreements have been made.

Sub-covering panels are to be assigned according to the classification in the pamphlet on sub-roofs, sub-coverings and under-bracings. Increased demands make up categories according to chapter 1.1.3. Further increased demands can arise out of the weighting within a category according to 1.1.3. For example, climate situations can result in several increased demands. Only permitted if the manufacturer provides proof of the functionality and safety of the products used, including accessories (sealing tapes, sticky tapes, sealing compounds, pre-assembled seam securing, etc.), as part of a deluge test and 24-hour rain test on a roof pitch of 15°. Otherwise, the next class up is to be selected. Any limitations noted by the manufacturer are to be taken into account. The traditional interlocking tile covering a 20 percent larger surface area

It’s true that the shape of the Ergoldsbacher Großfalzziegel is based on its historic role model, the Ergoldsbacher Falzziegel (interlocking tile), but it covers 20 percent more surface area, so it adapts very well to fit renovation requirements. With a displacement range of 16 mm, it is easy to lay, very flexible, and easy to handle. One of the distinctive features of its shape is its high rib, which separates the interlocking joint from the deep channels which the water flows through: it also adds to the proofing against rain or drifting snow getting in.
